Namezero Press Release

NAMEZERO AND TRIBAL VOICE TEAM UP TO OFFER FIRST DOMAIN NAME BASED CUSTOMIZED INSTANT MESSAGING SOLUTION

DENVER, Colorado - August 1, 2000--Tribal Voice ™, a leading provider of co-branded instant messaging (IM) and interactive communications solutions, and Namezero.com (www.namezero.com), the only company to provide free .com domain names, e-mail, and domain name based management services, today announced an agreement that makes a customized, domain name based version of Tribal Voice's PowWow instant messaging service available on Namezero's patent pending Namezero Passport Service. Tribal Voice is a majority-owned operating company of CMGI, Inc.

With Tribal Voice's PowWow, Namezero's 750,000 members can further personalize their Passport Service by combining their domain name (www.yourdomain.com) with instant communication capabilities. After creating simple domain name based user profiles, members can form 'buddy' lists that notify them when their friends are online, send text and voice instant messages, play multi-user games, and participate in full duplex voice chats. Additionally, PowWow enables multiple users to "surf" the web together, viewing the same Web pages that are tracked during the course of an online messaging session.

The domain name is the single, easily accessible point of access for these powerful communication services. "Now powerful instant messaging services can be aggregated and linked to a simple, universally accessible domain name," said Bruce Keiser, president and COO of Namezero. "We evaluated a number of instant messaging applications, and chose PowWow for integration in the Namezero service because it offers the most features and comprehensive capabilities versus any competing instant messaging service. PowWow's ease-of-use empowers Namezero users with the most comprehensive online communication tools to enhance their Internet experience."

The Namezero Passport service is based on patent pending technology developed by Namezero that enables a fast and easy way to use and manage domain names and create subdomains, providing members with unlimited personal, portable Web-based "channels" that function like super Web-based bookmarks, accessed and shared from anywhere. The service provides people and businesses with an immediate, functional online identity and presence whether using the feature rich Namezero start page or any other Web site. Members have a single place on the Internet to create and combine all their favorite Web pages, content, features and services. An easy to use control panel, accessible from the Namezero viewer, enables members to quickly forward www.yourdomain.com to any Web site - free or paid - such as Geocities, Xoom, Tripod, Homestead, Big Step and all others for business or pleasure. Namezero works with existing Web sites, e-mails, bookmarks, start pages, chat and instant messaging services, small business and commerce features and any other content, features and services on the Web.

"We're pleased to join forces with Namezero by providing our instant messaging solution to its over 750,000 members," said Tribal Voice CEO Ross Bagully. "Building the powerful PowWow service into Namezero's feature rich domain name based service is an important step in the evolution of Internet communications. With over 1 billion instant messages sent daily, PowWow Instant Messenger will increase the value proposition of Namezero members' Web sites, enhancing the overall user experience and extending Namezero's market position as a leading provider of free and low cost domain name based Internet services."
