Dear NameZero Customer,
As you may be aware, NameZero previously used Network Solutions, Inc.
as our domain registration partner. This means that, while NameZero provided
you with the registration of your domain and any URL and e-mail forwarding,
web hosting or e-mail services you use, Network Solutions, Inc. is listed
as your registrar. Several months ago, however, we obtained our own ICANN
accreditation in order to provide our end-users better services, support,
and prices. Note: This only applies to domains registered with
NameZero that are showing Network Solutions, Inc. as the registrar. Not
sure if this applies to you? Use the form below to find out.
We are encouraging you to renew/transfer your domain(s) with NameZero
in order to allow us to continue to provide you the services and features
you've come to appreciate. If you intend to keep these services, it is
imperative that you do so as soon as possible.
As an added incentive for you to begin the renewal/transfer process
to NameZero.com, we're lowering our already discounted price for a limited time
to a special low price
of $9.95! This will add one year to the term of
your domain registration. Simply login to your account using
the form on the right to begin this simple transfer process:
1. Click on the domain you wish to transfer/renew.
2. On the next screen, in the section labeled, Domain Renewals,
click the Renew link to the right of the expiration date.
3. Click the Continue button on the next screen.
4. Enter the coupon code, NZPROMO995,
and click the Recalculate Total button.
5. Fill in your billing information, check the acceptance box after reading
the registration agreement and click the Submit Renewal button.
In most cases, the renewal/transfer authorization request from Network
Solutions will be sent to contact@yourdomain.com (with"yourdomain.com"being
the domain you are attempting to transfer/renew). It is imperative that,
if you have this e-mail alias set-up, it is forwarding to an existing
e-mail account that you have access to. If you do not, the renewal/transfer
will not be confirmed and will fail. We do suggest that you allow a full
10 days for this process to complete. If you wait until the last minute
to renew your domain name you will jeopardize the transfer and may be
forced to pay a higher renewal rate through Network Solutions, Inc. Please
be sure to renew your domain as soon as possible.

Q. What does the transfer/renewal fee cover?
Q. Why do I have to transfer my domain name? I thought
you were my registrar.
Q. I received an e-mail from Network Solutions asking me
to confirm a transfer to NamesDirect.com. Who is NamesDirect.com, I thought
I was transferring to NameZero?
Q. The transfer/renewal authorization page that I go to
after receiving the Network Solutions authorization e-mail says that,
by transferring out of Network Solutions, I will lose services, such
as e-mail, for my domain. Is this true?
Q. What happens if I do not transfer my domain name?
Q. What does the transfer/renewal fee cover?
A.The renewal/transfer fee will add one year to the term of
your domain registration. This means that, not only will you be ensuring
that your NameZero.com domain services continue to function, but you
will extend the length of your domain registration as well.
Q. Why do I have to transfer my domain
name? I thought you were my registrar.
A.Your domain was initially purchased through NameZero when
we had a reseller partnership with Network Solutions, Inc. We have since
obtained our own ICANN accreditation and no longer have the ability to
renew domain names through our wholesale agreement with Network Solutions,
Inc. In order to renew your domain we need to transfer the registration
to NameZero officially
Q. I received an e-mail from Network
Solutions asking me to confirm a transfer to NamesDirect.com. Who is
NamesDirect.com, I thought I was transferring to NameZero?
A.NamesDirect.com and NameZero.com are sister companies owned
by the same parent company, CAS Holdings, Inc. We are using NamesDirect.com's
accreditation in addition to our own in order to process your renewal/transfer
requests in the most expedient manner. Regardless of which accreditation
your domain goes through, your domain will be placed in your NameZero
account and retain all the NameZero services and pricing you are accustomed
to.
Q. The transfer/renewal authorization
page that I go to after receiving the Network Solutions authorization
e-mail says that, by transferring out of Network Solutions, I will
lose services, such as e-mail, for my domain. Is this true?
A. No. This is simply a standard message used by Network Solutions
(and most other registrars) to alert customers to the fact that services
could be lost once transferring their domain. In your case, however,
NameZero.com, not Network Solutions, provides your services so staying
with Network Solutions is actually what may cause your services to stop
working.
Q. What happens if I do not transfer
my domain name?
A.Your domain will still continue to function normally.
In the near future, however, your NameZero.com services such as Webmail,
SiteBuilder, and URL and e-mail forwarding may no longer function. As
we continue to improve, and make changes to, our system, we will have
no control over the nameservers associated with your account. These can
currently only be managed from within your Network Solutions account.
Also, if your domain expires, you will be subject to Network Solution's
much higher annual renewal rate (currently $35 per year) to maintain
the registration of your domain.
