Who owns the domain name I choose?
No one ever owns a domain name. Domain names are licensed to a user for the term of the registration (i.e. one year, two years, etc.). When you register your domain name with Namezero, we will register the domain name, and you will be the assigned licensee. Please review the Namezero Terms of Service for more information.

Am I guaranteed to get the domain name I request?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will get the domain name you request. At the time you register with Namezero the name may be available, but there are many people registering for domain names all over the world, and by the time your request reaches the master domain name database your domain selection may have been registered elsewhere.

Can someone else register a domain name once it has been registered?
Once a domain name is registered in the central registry database it is not available for anyone else to select. Namezero registers all domain names through the registry and will notify you if the name you selected is not available so that you can choose another one. You may be able to get a variation of the name, for example: if JohnSmith.com is not available, JohnSmith.net, jrsmith.com or JohnSmith.org may be.

What if I want to change my domain name after Namezero has registered it for me?
Once a domain name has been registered and is in the master domain name registry database, it cannot be changed or cancelled. It exists whether you choose to use it or not. You may register additional names using the Namezero at any time.

If I decide to transfer my domain, what do I need to do?
Because Namezero offers such a wide range of services, most Namezero members will never consider transferring their domain name to another registrar. However, Namezero understands that some members may have reasons for wanting to change registrars at some juncture, and we are happy to assist you with your transfer.

Please Note: If the domain name has been registered less than 60 days, there is a sixty day waiting period during which the original registrar is unable to perform any transfers of the domain name. Namezero follows this procedure to protect your domain name(s). We cannot authorize any online transfers sent directly to us by other domain hosts.
